Minimum requirements: Applicants should currently
be in good academic standing and must have completed a minimum
of their first year in their educational program. Placements
are arranged in rural and urban medically undeserved sites.
Due to recent Utah State Legislative Budget Cuts, only students
attending health care professional training schools within
the state or Utah are eligible for applying to the program.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
Health Care Students who are interested in applying for a
rural/under-served training experience are encouraged to apply
at least six weeks prior to their anticipated start date.
The steps for applying are as follows:
- Complete Student
Application Form
- Write a 1/2 page summary on why you are
interested in applying.
- Clearly state any housing or transportation
needs that you will have.
- Mail or fax your completed application

Summitt, Tooele, Davis, and Wasatch counties. If you are a
student seeking a rural or under-served training experience

All students who receive support from CHEC in their urban/rual
under-served rotation are sent a survey requesting feedback
